A bit about me
Hi there, I’m Melody and I like to cook 🙂
thank you for stopping by. I started this channel as a creative outlet after my regular day job. I love cooking and for me its a way to decompress after a day at work and also connect with the people I love.
I’m from New Zealand and live in Auckland with my husband. Our families are located here too. My parents are Chinese-malay and moved here over thirty years ago.
I’ve always enjoyed food. I watched a lot of food TV though probably had less practical experience as my mum is an amazing cook. When I moved out I actually found cooking a little hard at first. (pictures to the right)
Like anything, practice makes perfect or in my case and what I prefer, practice makes improvement. I started cooking a lot more (out of need, as I had to feed myself and my husband) and with that I started developing my own taste for food.
I like to cook anything but in saying that, a lot of my food is predominantly asian (except for pasta, I love pasta) and a lot of my baking, I try and make it to my taste ( I don’t like things too sweet).
